“ OSO is about being a team - not just one horse and one rider.
It's a group of people working together cohesively.”
~ Amanda Kettlewell
OSO ENDURANCE
For the past 12 years, the OSO Endurance team of horses and riders has gone from strength to strength.
Whilst predominantly competing in Australia, with horses based throughout Europe, we are now reaching across the world, which enables young riders to experience the sport overseas and, to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible.
Our endurance team follows a training program from the very beginning. In the early days, with a strong emphasis on being professionally broken in, then a gradually getting a leg up into their first endurance rides, benefitting from the amazing countryside we have around our stud farm, this ensures they are fit enough, in top condition, having had experience in all terrains.
The individuals who work at OSO are equally as important as the horses we breed and train. We have developed a unique ‘OSO’ culture with our employees, where they get the balance of competitive riding, education and fun.
In Australia, we have enjoyed success in all events, from 80km to 160km and, even taking on a few of the marathon rides such as the gruelling Shazada. Every completion in any event with our horses is a win to us however, we take great pride in our biggest achievements some of which are:
2015 Tom Quilty 1st place with phenomenal stallion ‘Cap Braveheart’ who then went on to win two FEI Championships and a NSW state title.
Our mares have also added to these wins, with OSO Edith and OSO Lee winning the Australian FEI Championships and, OSO Ngaire, OSO Lulu and OSO Diamond Dazzler all bringing home the Victorian State titles.
